Violence leads to more violence

What each of us can do to contribute to creating a culture of non-violence is reduce violence and find new purposes in life. We do not need to identify the perpetrators, but we do need to figure out how to stop them. Ignorance certainly is the cause of all global conflicts, it cannot, however, be considered a crime, it doesn´t deserve to be condemned, it has to be eliminated with love. We have to understand that if there are still so many of us in the world today, it is because its balance does not rely on the force of arms, but on the strength of love and truth. In fact, millions of families are faced each day with disputes that are resolved using these forces. Hundreds of nations live in peace. History doesn´t record and cannot record these facts. History records the interruption of the action of perennial forces of love and spirit, therefore it records the interruption of the course of nature. Since spiritual force is a part of nature, it is not recorded by history. When people remain passive in the face of aggression, because of fear, they are collaborating with violence, obeying its logic. This is not to condemn anyone, but it means understanding our choices to ensure that people no longer make the same mistake in the future. We must act quickly because the more time passes, greater will be the moral strength required. With the growth of hatred, listening shuts down. If we want something really important to be achieved, we mustn´t give space to reason alone, we must also act with our heart. Today, for a variety of reasons, some of us have started to understand that what we need isn´t "outside" but is "inside". Peace of mind is what we need to achieve peace, even without powerful additives. The peace that comes to us when there is a compelling purpose in our lives. We all know that education is important, that the great enemy of the latter is not the lack of funds, although it does count, but the lack of programmes. Lack of funds is only a symptom of the current materialistic culture. Today we have come to believe that education has a single purpose: to prepare for work. In this regard, the meaning of life, according to Einstein, has been highlighted: "A human being is a part of the whole called by us "universe ", a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as something separated from the rest, a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty." Surely in a world based on deceit, the appearance of truth determines the clash. Therefore, a constructive programme that brings corrections within the community will inevitably face obstacles, even involuntarily. Let us continue to build the trust that comes essentially from a steady job, not an occasional job, from work, not from protest; from self-elevation and not obstruction, work that is practical and concrete, not symbolic.
